The celebration will be held on Friday\, August 7\, 2020 at 10 am. \n\n \n\nPeople Loving People is registered Not for Profit public charity registered with New York State with 501 (c) (3) status. The founders\, Donna Galgano\, Valerie Monroy and Gina Kang saw the need in the community to help seniors and those struggling with food insecurity. With previous experience in this area\, all serving at a large food pantry on Long Island\, they opened The People's Pantry in November of 2019. They are committed to expand their desire to serve others locally and regionally through their organization. \n\n \n\nTheir newest project The People's Pantry Market located in Oyster Bay\, NY offers guests a client choice pantry option. Guests can shop for groceries themselves as they browse around the beautifully decorated market. There are plenty of volunteers on staff to help guests make healthy food choice options as well as carry out volunteers to bring bags to their cars. The adorable market is chock full of everything needed including health and beauty aids\, baby care and personal care items. The People's pantry will officially open on August 7\, 2020 for the community starting at 10 a.m. for the Oyster Bay and East Norwich Residents. All non-residents will be able to shop after resident shopping is complete. \n\n \n\nThe vision of People Loving People is to have a center where in the future they will be able to offer\, homework helpers for the communities children\, English as a New Language classes for community members seeking to learn English\, monthly health clinics to offer health screening for those struggling with medical issues as well as many other exciting programs!\n\n \n\nThe People's is open for donations on Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00-3:00 for donations and shopping.
